Jonathan gives the best tours in the city no doubt about it. I have taken several tours and every single time I learn something new about the wonderful and spooky city of New Orleans. He is so knowledgeable and you can tell he truly loves to pass on this knowledge to everyone. Any of his tours are a must! Also… he may be a vampire :)

You MUST make a tour with Jonathan part of your New Orleans visit! Don't waste your time with the corporate tour companies. Jonathan is a real New Orleanian with a vast knowledge of the city's dark and colorful history. I have gone back for three different tours with Jonathan, and each time I have walked away with a deeper appreciation of New Orlean's rich history. Just book a tour and thank me later!

Talk about captivating story telling and fantastic historical knowledge! This tour has it all! Johnathan was very entertaining and answered all our questions. I love that he lived in NOLA pre Katrina so he really has local knowledge about things. This sets him apart from other tour companies. He was very patient, funny, informative, smart, entertaining and gave us more time than the booking said we would have. We appreciated that he didn’t make us feel like he ‘had to run’ afterwards. Thank you for a very memorable outing! Five stars for sure!

My wife and I made our first trip to New Orleans a few months back, and we decided to book the ghost tour with Jonathan after hearing a recommendation on a podcast. We weren't really sure what to expect, but we loved it. Jonathan is passionate, engaging, and a tremendous storyteller. He even took some downtime during a brief break to talk to us and get to know us a bit on a personal level. It was truly a great experience, and we are looking forward to booking another tour soon on our next trip to New Orleans. Absolute must if you want to know the real history of this haunted city.

I visited New Orleans with friends in July 2023 and we had the pleasure of joining in on two of Jonathan’s tours through the French Quarter. We had such a great time on both tours! Jonathan is a fantastic storyteller. He gets into the nitty gritty of the gruesome tales of the historic French Quarter without sounding like he’s reading from a script. It’s very evident that he loves what he does and has a ton of fun on each of his tours. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill basic walking tour led by some 20-something who knows only what their tour company has given them to read. Jonathan’s knowledge goes deep, and he claims to know things most tour companies don’t (I believe him!). He also has great recommendations for local bars and restaurants to get you away from all the soulless, gimmicky tourist traps. Jonathan also does a great job at making everyone on the tour feel like a friend. He’s very charismatic and doesn’t hold back on making jokes and poking fun at his tour guests. 10/10 would recommend and will absolutely join in on more tours whenever I’m back in NOLA! 😄

Sobering, informative, interesting, and authentic! Sobering, informative, and definitely kept our attention the entire time. As a "pre-Katrina" tour guide, Mr. Weiss carefully wove his ghost information into the history of New Orleans and his passion for the city and its (dead and living) inhabitants is clear. Although I am certain he has given this tour hundreds of times before, none of it sounded rehearsed or by rote, and you feel more like you're walking through the French quarter with a friend who just happens to know a whole lot about the city and her ghostly souls. Definitely recommend for teens, as my 14 year old was held in rapt attention for the whole 2 hours! Wear comfortable shoes and, if visiting in the summer, bring water!

Fantastic "ghost tour" with Jonathan Weiss! Especially appreciated his vast knowledge of the history of the area!! Ghost stories were a plus, but the HISTORY was much more interesting to us. Tour was to have been "1 1/2 hours," but Jonathan stayed with us for 2 1/2, also recommended good places to go - so do a ghost or history tour early in your visit to New Orleans
